Girad school at the receiving end of Juvenile vandalism |
|
A Girad School remained closed for two days due to the bomb threats and vandalism carried out allegedly by three high school students. The students who were not identified will be served a 10 day suspension before an expulsion hearing on Dec 2nd before the school board. Windows and glass doors were smashed and bomb threats were spray painted on the walls. A Girard police spokesman said that charges are being framed through the Macoupin County state’s attorney’s office even though none has been arrested so far. The vandals would be slapped with many charges including a felony charge for causing deliberate damage to state-supported property.
