Vandalism in nature parks

Boulder city, Nevada: Incidents of vandalism and illegal use of vehicles in the wilderness spots around Lake Mead national Recreation Area have been reported. To check this menace, the police have stepped up its vigil. Many spots in the Black canyon and along The Colorado River have become haven for vandals who take pleasure in illegal dumping, bonfires and target shooting. Visitors are asked not to leave anything behind to protect the natural beauty of these sites. The park rangers are hopeful of promoting a sense of responsibility among the visitors in this site.

Managing vandalism – a costly option

The city of Cookeville was up in arms against vandalism that left this city in chaos. A concrete wall on West 9th Street was smeared in graffiti on Thursday night much to the anguish of the community. The public works department had to spend many hours to remove this eyesore. It was a costly clean up operation which involved the labor of many city workers who were taken off their routine productive work to get rid of this graffiti. Any one who comes across such incidents of vandalism can inform the Police department or the sheriff department.
